From Global Coffee Executive to Purpose-Driven Founder: The Story Behind DONA Coffee

SAVE THE DATE – TICKETS ON SALE SOON
At this CWF lunch, Elisa Dot Bach will share the remarkable journey that led her from a global career in innovation, marketing strategy, and business development in the coffee industry to founding DONA, a purpose-driven coffee brand sourcing specialty Arabica coffee exclusively from women-owned farms around the world.
Having spent years working across international markets with some of the world’s most recognized coffee brands, Elisa witnessed firsthand how deeply coffee is woven into culture, connection, and everyday life. In 2022, she chose to transform that experience into a mission: using coffee as a powerful lever for social impact.
Through DONA, Elisa connects consumers directly with women coffee producers, giving visibility to their work while supporting their businesses and communities through fair sourcing and long-term partnerships.
Join us for an inspiring conversation about entrepreneurship, purpose, global responsibility — and how one idea can help change the world, one sip at a time.
BIO
Elisa Dot Bach is the founder of DONA Coffee. She spent most of my career in the global coffee industry, working in innovation and marketing for a multinational company. After many years, she realized that coffee was not just her profession — it was her passion. But she also became increasingly aware of a disconnect: behind one of the most consumed beverages in the world are millions of farmers, especially women, whose work is largely invisible and undervalued. Three years after leaving her corporate career, Elisa founded DONA Coffee to recognize, support, and celebrate women coffee farmers, and to build a business rooted in purpose, dignity, and long-term impact.
