But she also became increasingly aware of a disconnect: behind one of the most consumed beverages in the world are millions of farmers\, especially women\, whose work is largely invisible and undervalued. Three years after leaving her corporate career\, Elisa founded DONA Coffee to recognize\, support\, and celebrate women coffee farmers\, and to build a business rooted in purpose\, dignity\, and long-term impact.
