How does this translate into reality in Switzerland?  Empirical evidence suggests that CSR is intrinsically related to sound risk management\, which is a core Board of Directors supervisory duty. Professor Rajna Gibson Brandon\, co-author of “The sustainability footprint of institutional investors”\, will help us understand the relevance of CSR for Boards. SUMMARY:How to tackle the many difficulties entrepreneurs face today?
DESCRIPTION:Dorothy Tembo\, Deputy Executive Director\, International Trade Centre \nDorothy Tembo will talk about ITC’s mandate to reinforce the private sector in developing countries\, focusing on women and supporting them to develop further and help tackle difficulties through a new application that facilitates networking and visibility amongst women leaders. Indeed\, women’s contribution to the economy is undeveloped everywhere. One of ITC’s goals is to improve that through trade and export. \nDorothy Tembo will tell us about her career path\, negotiating with politicians\, ambassadors and other public figures. How did she get to where she is today? What kind of obstacles did she face and how did she overcome them? \nDorothy Tembo is the Deputy Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC). With over 30 years’ experience in trade and development\, Ms. Tembo previously served as the Executive Director of the multi-donor funded Enhanced Integrated Framework Programme (EIF)\, based at the World Trade Organization. EIF aims at supporting  least developed countries in addressing their trade-related technical assistance and supply side constraints. Ms. Tembo also served as Chief Trade Negotiator and Director of Foreign Trade in the Ministry of Commerce\, Trade and Industry of Zambia from 2004 to 2008\, and as Trade and Investment Advisor on the USAID Zambia Trade and Investment Enhancement Project (ZAMTIE) in Lusaka in 2003 to 2004\, providing support to the Ministry of Commerce\, Trade and Industry and the private sector.
