DESCRIPTION:Many hats\, just one woman – Abir OREIBI is an entrepreneur\, investor\, founder and board member. Her ambition : to understand the impact and potentiel of technology on businesses and society. This led her career path in various sectors in Europe and Asia\, even contributing to build the Chinese E-commerce Group Alibaba\, one of the most successful internet companies. \nHow does she succeed in all these different domains?  \nWhat did she learn from all these experiences? \nCome to this CWF lunch conference to listen to Abir’s tips and tricks! She will share her experience as business visionary and mother/ step-mother of 5! \nBiography \nAbir Oreibi has an international professional background having lived and worked in Shanghai\, Hong Kong\, Bangkok and London. For more than 18 years\, she has been active in multiple fields related to the world of innovation and startups. She joined the Chinese group Alibaba at its creation and was its General Manager for Europe\, the Middle East and Africa for more than 8 years. \nToday\, as CEO of Lift\, she leads an organization that identifies technology trends\, their business and social impact through the organization of events and open innovation programs. Issues related to the challenges and opportunities created by new technologies as well as the strategic responses from organizations are at the heart of Lift‘s activities. \nAfter 2 years as member of the EPFL-based Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) – a Swiss government agency for innovation – Abir continues its commitment as an expert in Innosuisse\, the newly set up Swiss agency for innovation. \nAbir Oreibi is also active in investor networks and sits on various boards of innovation as an active member.
