Workshop de septembre
Les 16 et 28 septembre Liza Ghaliounghi, coach certifiée et consultante RH, animera 2 soirées autour du thème « Comprendre nos différences intergénérationnelles ». Au cours de ces ateliers interactifs Liza vous aidera à lever le voile sur l'origine, les raisons et les implications liées aux différences intergénérationnelles. Celles d'entre vous qui seraient intéressées à participer à ces soirées peuvent s'inscrire sur notre site.
Nous vous rappelons que les workshops du CWF constituent des espaces dédiés à la formation ou aux échanges de « best practices » animés directement par les membres. Ils ont pour but de permettre aux membres qui le souhaitent de faire connaître leur expertise ou savoir-être et savoir-faire dans un domaine et d'offrir à d'autres la possibilité d'en apprendre plus sur un sujet donné. La course de l'Escalade... en marchant
Le CWF participera pour la 2ème fois à la Course de l'Escalade, oui, en marchant. En effet, le 4 décembre 2010 aura lieu la célèbre course dans la Vieille-Ville et la marche sera organisée le matin avec un parcours qui reliera Veyrier à Genève (8.250 kilomètres, parcours qui se fait en une heure et demie de marche maximum). Mentorat CWF-UNIGE – Soirée de clôture

Le 30 juin dernier, Richemont International SA a gracieusement accueilli la soirée de clôture du premier volet de notre programme de mentorat avec l'Université de Genève (voir document "coup d'œil du mentorat CWF- UNIGE").
Les mentores et les étudiantes qu'elles ont accompagnées tout au long de cette dernière année académique étaient présentes, ainsi qu'une représentation du rectorat de l'Université de Genève et du Bureau de l'Egalité des Chances, partenaires de ce projet, et de plusieurs Corporate Members du CWF.
La partie officielle a été marquée par une intervention passionnante de Mme Fabienne Lupo-Magnaudet, Vice-présidente et Directrice Générale de la Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie qui nous a apporté son témoignage personnel. Hard to believe that we live in a city which is at the heart of an organization that has so changed the face of the world in recent decades!
We were privileged to welcome Dr. Amita Raval particle physicist and research fellow and CERN, to a joint event hosted together with the IMD alumni, who gave us an insight into particle physics, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and where we stand in the immensity of it all. Some of the figures she presented were mind-boggling as she shared with us the inner activities of scientists, all searching for answers to more and more complicated questions. Read more...

Summer Event à Grange Gaby sur le Salève

C'est une vingtaine de personnes qui se sont retrouvées en cette belle journée ensoleillée à Grange Gaby chez Serge Michel et Sophia Procofieff. Certains en ont profité pour emprunter le téléphérique et faire de la marche alors que d'autres ont préféré ne pas trop s'aventurer et sont montés en voiture.
La formule de se retrouver en famille a été un succès: les enfants ont adoré les ânes, la cabane dans les arbres et le trampoline, les maris ont eu, eux aussi, l'occasion de réseauter et certains se sont même revus depuis!

Corporate member breakfast
The BCGE hosted our most recent Corporate member breakfast and attracted good participation from many of our corporates. We were delighted to have a presentation on management and leadership from Mr Blaise Goetschin, CEO of the BCGE, as well as presentations on investment profiling and a personal testimony of female career pathing within the organisation. It is one of the aims of the breakfasts to encourage involvement of senior male leaders within the hosting corporate member, and thereby to give them some exposure to the CWF.
Our next CM breakfast is scheduled for 21st September, and will be hosted by Deloitte. One of the subjects we will discuss is the issue of gender mentoring within organisations, and the possibility of a CWF initiative to foster this within and across our corporate members. Invitations with detailed instructions and agenda will be sent out after the holiday period.

CWF Award Winner - A Big Thank You
I've just completed the 4 day Strategy for Leadership course on Empowering Women Executives at IMD thanks to the 2010 CWF Award. It was absolutely fascinating, the content was of high quality, the tools extremely useful, the teachers/coaches were top class and the diversity of the women was phenomenal (from South Africa to the USA, from Nigeria to Australia, Turkey....and Europe). All the women were senior, some of them part of Executive boards and the atmosphere was very friendly. At the end of the course, we implemented peer mentoring and a network action such as cross-company mentoring.
So again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to move to the next level of my career! I hope you will keep proposing this prize next year. I will be glad to be with you and give myself the prize to the next winner. Thanks again and my best to the CWF !
